Why should I hire you?

  • We MAKE your cleaning supplies by hand, and in small batches, therefore,
  • The cleaning supplies are always fresh and with no preservatives added,
  • We customize our products to mix the formulae to match your household’s needs,
  • Our products are at least as effective as commercial cleaners, yet they are chemicals- and toxins-free,
  • We use only natural products; they are derived from plants and minerals, and paired with essential oils,
  • There are never any additives in our products,
  • The cleaning products are cost effective,
  • They are affordable,
  • They release no fumes (unlike supermarket cleaners),
  • They smell great,
  • We save you time doing chores that are not the most pleasant, yet necessary,

Can I buy your supplies without hiring your cleaning service?

Yes. However, if you buy our services, the supplies are free. If you want to keep our supplies on site for use between visits, we will be happy to make a set for you for a small fee.

Can I hire you for cleaning service and have you clean with my own supplies?

Yes.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule, we ask to let us know at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. We may charge a $15 fee for a shorter notice. If you are not home and did not let us know you were canceling the service for that day, you may be charged with full amount of services scheduled for that day.

Do you work in the tri-state area as well, or only in Philadelphia?

We are located in Philadelphia. We are able and willing to travel up to 30 miles one way in each direction.

Do I have to stay home while the services are being performed?

No. We simply need to gain an access to your house either by you letting us in or leaving a key for us as per our previous agreement. If you are not going to return home in time for our maid to exit the house, we will leave the key according to your instructions.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, personal check, and money order.

Are you knowledgeable about religious customs (Jewish, etc.)?

We are respectful of religious customs. Our Orthodox Jewish clients have been very satisfied with our cleaning practices that are modified to respect their religious tradition.

If you are a member of another faith and require special cleaning practices, we are always eager to learn new things and will follow your instructions accordingly.

Am I supposed to tip the maid?

It is up to you. If you are pleased with the services provided, you are welcome to tip the maid. However, please do not include the tip with a payment to the company. The tip is between you and the maid.

Am I going to receive services from the same maid each time?

Yes. We try to keep the maid – client assignment constant. We realize once you explain to the maid what you need done and how you like it done, there is no need to repeat it each time, which makes life easier for both. However, there could instances when we need to assign a new person to you to cover an unexpected absence of your maid.

Do you work in teams of more than one maid?

No, unless your house is too big for one person.

Are the maids authorized to work in the United States?

Yes, maids at Holistic Home LLC are either US citizens or green card holders.

Do the maids speak English?

Yes, our maids speak perfect English.

Do you clean houses with pets?

Yes, we do clean houses with pets.

Do I have to have my own cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaner, bucket, rugs)?

It is preferable that you have your own cleaning equipment. However, if you do not have it, we are able to provide it.

Do you work weekends?

Yes, we schedule work on weekends. There is no additional fee for that.

Are your specialized services also performed with natural products?

Yes, as all our services, the specialized services are performed using only natural, toxic- and chemicals free products. In fact, our products come from nature: they are made from plants and minerals, paired with essential oils.

Is the steam carpet disinfection the same as carpet cleaning?

No, it is a treatment done on an already cleaned/vacuumed carpet. The treatment does not clean the carpet per say; the hot steam kills on contact the dust mites and fleas that live in the carpet. Steaming is the only method that kills both: the dust mites and their eggs.

How often am I supposed to treat the carpet/upholstery/bedding for dust mites and fleas?

It is recommended to steam the carpet/upholstery/bedding for dust mites and fleas once a month.

Do I have to have my own cleaning supplies?

It is up to you. You have a choice of either providing your own cleaning supplies or purchasing customized cleaning supplies from us.

How do I order a refill?

Send an email to HolisticHomeLLC@gmail.com or call 215 421 4050. The next time your service is scheduled, your newly ordered supplies will be delivered. If you’re buying cleaning products only, without cleaning services, special arrangements will be made to deliver the products to you.

Are your containers/bottles recyclable?

Yes, we are reusing everything that we possibly can. We ask our clients not to toss our containers/bottles. We ask them to either use them for a refill or reuse them in their household. If the client decides to throw the container/bottle away, we ask the client to put it in a recycle bin.

Are your products safe for children and pets, and people with allergies?

Yes, as all our products are manufactured using only natural, toxic- and chemicals free products. In fact, our products come from nature: they are derived from plants and minerals, and paired with essential oils.
